STRATFORD TOWN TRUST

£12,095

Stratford Town Trust are funding the rent of our main building for the entirety of 2026! This allows us to continue providing a safe and supportive space where participants can work together and develop practical skills through the work-based activities we offer. Our rent also includes access to our garden, which plays a vital role in our service. It offers a peaceful green space where participants can enjoy nature, grow plants, and take part in a range of outdoor activities.

THE NATIONAL LOTTERY COMMUNITY FUND

The National Lottery Community Fund have been supporting our 2-to-1 support sessions since April 2025, and their funding will take us through until April 2027. Our 2-to-1 support sessions are a core part of what we do at Work-Shop, and they play a key role in empowering our participants and supporting their personal development.

CHAIR OF THE STRATFORD-ON-AVON DISTRICT COUNCIL

During her time as Chair of the Stratford-on-Avon District Council, Councillor Kate Rolfe chose to raise money for us here at ECO Work-Shop. Kate first discovered us after her husband bought her one of our handmade cards. That one small purchase sparked her interest in what we do and, since then, she has gone on to raise an incredible £6,985 for Work-Shop! We think it’s safe to say that makes it the most valuable card we’ve ever sold! It’s people like Kate, and the support of our local community, who enable us to continue bringing purpose and opportunities to the lives of the adults we support.

nBS Foundation

The nBS Foundation are funding our 'Enabling Emerging Talent in Health and Social Care' project. This grant will allow us to employ 2 young people, enabling them to work alongside adults with learning disabilities, build empathy, and develop practical care and support skills. This directly supports npower's priority to champion local skills and employment, while also reflecting the Foundation's commitment to social innovation through our inclusive, work-based model.

HEART OF ENGLAND COMMUNITY FOUNDATION - FOYLE FOUNDATION

The Heart of England Community Foundation were selected as one of only eleven community foundations across the UK to receive a £200,000 legacy donation from the Foyle Foundation as part of it’s final round of charitable giving. In May 2026, they awarded us just over £3,000 for our new VHS recycling project in collaboration with Net Zero Stratford. Our participants dismantle old VHS tapes and separate their components so that we can responsibly recycle the materials.

KATE AND ROSIE

In April 2026, Kate completed the London Marathon whilst her daughter (and one of our participants) Rosie, completed the Shakespeare Half Marathon. They both ran to raise funds for Work-Shop and raised over £2,200!

Barchester's Charitable Foundation are supporting our reward activities throughout 2026. Our reward activities are the perfect way to thank our participants for all of their hard work across the year. They allow them to experience activities that might otherwise be out of reach, all within a safe and supportive environment.

Heart Of England Community Fund are currently supporting our 'Promoting Inclusion Within the Local Community' project. This funding has been put towards travel costs, allowing us to continue providing our participants with access to meaningful volunteer placements and opportunities to take part in community-based activities that promote inclusion, skill-building and social connection.

Wilmcote Charitrust recently provided us with funding to support our core costs. This type of funding is crucial, and without it we would be unable to continue delivering the vital work that we do.

THE PERCY BILTON CHARITY

The Percy Bilton Charity provided us with funding to purchase a set of new chairs to be used by our participants. Our new chairs have supportive backs and armrests which help maintain good posture, reduce the risk of discomfort or injury, and provide the stability participants need to engage fully in our tasks.

SHAKESPEARE LIONS

£500

We regularly complete our 'Message in a Bottle' task for Lions. This is a free scheme for residents aged 60 or older who live alone, or have an illness or disability. The scheme allows individuals to keep their personal and medical details in a recognisable plastic bottle in the fridge, where it can be easily accessed in the event of an emergency. Two green cross stickers are provided so that emergency services will know you are signed up to the scheme - one for the inside of your front door and one for your fridge. At Work-Shop, our participants prepare the bottles by placing the stickers and leaflets inside. We are proud to have been part of this brilliant initiative for so long and are very grateful for a recent donation we received from Shakespeare Lions.

WILLIAM A CADBURY CHARITABLE TRUST

William A Cadbury Charitable Trust provided us with funding to support our 1-to-1 sessions. 1-to-1 support is a core part of what we offer at Work-Shop. Whilst many of our participants are able to take part in group activities, others have more complex needs meaning they are unable to access these group environments without consistent, dedicated support. Without this, these individuals would be at a more significant risk of exclusion and isolation. With our 1-to-1 support in place, participants are not only able to engage within Work-Shop, but can also access external volunteer placements, developing confidence and real-world skills.

KINETON CHURCH

For many years, we have received funding from Kineton Church, after our service initially began in Kineton. In 2025, we received £500 from the church, and this money was used towards travel costs. This allows us to continue providing our participants with access to meaningful volunteer placements and opportunities to take part in community-based activities that promote inclusion, skill-building and social connection.
